Pricing for ad free? - Posted By Nick (nickb) on 27th Aug 10 at 10:34pm
Forum URL: http://idirectory.vforums.co.uk

This coming week I am going to be buying a .us domain from godaddy for my site.

How does it work for ad free? and is it monthly? or what?

Me first time buying a domain name.

For the silver it's £50 (77 USD) is that for something else? I'm a we bit lost.

Thanks. {Smile}

Hi Darkmage,

I think the section you are looking for is here: http://shop.virtualforums.co.uk

That contains all the information on both ad-free & domain hosting (I think you stumbled across our business/corporate hosting packages)

Also, if you want, you can use the voucher code "33percent" to get 33% off (which applies to anyone which see this!)

Heh, I could not find it. {Cheesy} Thanks, Monday I'll be purchasing a domain name for iDirectory from GoDaddy, found it surprisingly cheap! $3.99 for a whole year for a .us. {Grin}

For the domain hosting is that monthly? and is it an auto charge? or I can make the payments on my own?

Also once I buy the domain, am I able to put my own Google ads on? (If I ever get accepted that is. {Tongue Out} )

Thanks. {Smile}

The Ad-Free & Domain Hosting are two completely different services.
Ad-Free is a monthly charge for a set number of pageviews without any adverts. You can purchase as many credits you want at once (they do not expire and can all be applied separately). You can apply credits to a particular month up-to 3 months in advance. While your forum is ad-free, you can display your own adverts if you wish.
Domain Hosting is a one off setup charge. Once it is setup you won't be charged by us again (obviously your registrar will charge you for your yearly renewals)

It will say that that voucher code doesn't exist {Tongue Out} And before anyone tries, I believe 33percent is the only active voucher code on the system {Wink}

Oh ok I get it. {Smile}

So it's separate, if I want ad free then I'd have to pay separate? I wont mind, I'll just do 1 credit for 10K page views. I'm only limited to $20.05 for Monday, Wednesday I'll be getting $35 So if I do not have enough monday, I'll have to do what I need on Wednesday.

Where do you put the voucher code when it's time?

Thank you. {Smile}
