There is an option in FireFox. Go to Tools > Options > Privacy > Settings > and then check the active logins > press ok. Then it will clear out your active logins in ALL websites.

Sorry to butt in, but yes, he did. However, if hitting the logout button redirects him to the main page, that would mostly frequently mean it's a cache/cookie issue, unless it's a problem with the button-link itself.
