Problem: Just wondering, what could causeba verification email to either not be sent or not be received? I'm asking because a friend of minebis helping mebwith my game so I am adding him to my company forum, but he isn't receiving the verification email, neither in his spam nor his inbox and I was wondering what could possibly be blocking it so I can try to help him fix it.

Who is his email provider? They could be blocking it on a server level for some reason.

I've just done a test registration on a forum and the registration email came through to my yahoo account fine. I then had a new validation key sent and that came through fine too.

Have they tried having the validation key resent?

yes, 4 times, waiting 2 hours between each resending, and i think it is just their email because I got my validation just fine and so did two others.

So two questions:

1. Have they double checked that it's going to the right e-mail address.

2. Did they receive the welcome/registration e-mail or did tat not arrive either.

May be worth asking if they have a different email address it could be sent to?

1. Yes i've had him post the email several time, plus he only has one email so when using yahoo messenger i can just copy his username and add @yahoo.com to it so its not hard to make sure i have the right email address.

2. He ain't getting anything from the forum.

As well he only has one email address, and i'd let hiim use one of mine instead, but for a staff forum, that wouldn't be very professional to do.
