the admins of our board are getting quite a few complaints over this advert that keeps appearing where google adverts are
is there any way to stop it

Unfortunately we don't control the ads that are on rotation - the only way is to contact google. this page will give you more info

I've put a block on that URL which should stop it appearing. Hopefully that will take affect sometime over the next few hours.

If it does appear again after that time period then can you right click the ad, select "Properties" and then copy the URL. It would look something like this:
