New forum v2 - Posted By Alex Bailey (system) on 10th May 08 at 4:01pm
Right i tried making a forum and it says its been made i got a confirmation email but when i click the link it says there is no such forum, i checked the link and it was typed perfect. I think it might have something to do with the new server

Would i be able to PM you it?

Hmm, if you're getting that error it means that the forum cannot be found in the database.

Two possible options:

1. You made a typo. Click the link to your forum that's in the email and see if it works from there.

2. There's an error in the forum creation script, causing things to not insert into the database properly.

Give number 1 a try and let me know if it works; if it doesn't we'll have to wait for Ross to look into it. {Smile}

That error was caused where you deleted the default skin. I've updated your forum files to fix that.

For the other forum, can you send me the link please so I can see if it does actually exist anywhere. And what skin did you select when signing up?

It still worked when logged in as the forum then used the skin set in your profile rather than the forum default. So it wouldn't have been until you logged out (or your cookies expired) that it started to look for a skin which doesn't exist {Smile}

Anyway, glad you got the other one sorted.
