Problem: Ok she says she not getting an email to validate her account .
Now i have two accounte on the forum and both worked fine i had no problems to validate both.
She tried even to change address and it still wouldn't work for her.
What can i do to get it working ? ( so far no has said they had any trouble).
Is she using Yahoo?
Ask her to try changing her email to one of a different provider, if she has one.
I'v had major problems with Yahoo on trying to get the emails, so I switched to my MSN and got the email right away.
What is the username of the member in question?
Its Becca (beccagranger), Ross .
You know I have been having the same problems, I was going to make a thread about it. But I have several people having the same problems, I can receive the email and I use yahoo well @sbcglobal.net Which is still yahoo. But they use @yahoo and @hotmail.com and they don't get the emails.
Have they had the email sent to there Hotmail email?
I had one they tried to validate their email through hotmail, and no email, she tried several times, she uses @msn.com and still nothing.
I use @hotmail
Have her check her email settings, on both yahoo and msn and tell her to make sure junk mail is not automaticly deleted.
I already told her that.
Just have her try having the email sent one more time to her msn, but tell her to double check her email settings before requesting.
She tried it 3 times![]()
4th time could be the charm.![]()
plus, I think it also has to do with how busy the the system is.
Lets see what Ross says.
Yeah lets just wait for him to answer first .Its Becca (beccagranger), Ross .
Lets see what Ross says.
I agree; Ross is the only one who can see if the emails have been sent, so saying "try again, try again" won't do much until we get Ross' point of view on what's happening.![]()
I've just requested her a new key and tracked the email through the system. It shows up as having been sent OK so if it's not received then it must be an issue with her provider blocking it. I believe we've had some problems with yahoo users being blocked before so has she tried having it sent to a different address such as a googlemail or hoitmail one?
Note: nobody except Canada need reply
Ok i'll have her check to see if she got it , if not i'll have her change her email address to her gmail one. Thanks Ross i'll let you know what happens as soon as i do .
Sorry about the double post.
Ross everything is fine now, the one you sent Becca got it and it worked fine.
Thank you Ross.![]()
Glad you got it sorted![]()
There are now several people that have reported to me that have not even gotten an email One called reydaitso, and another called dante. I will PM the emails to you Ross.
When validation is not required via "Forum Settings", then an email will not be automatically sent. The user must manually click the "Resend Validation Key" button on the validation page. A message will be added to this page explaining it as I get the feeling some people don't understand what they have to do.
