I'm trying to activate my account on this forum, and the email doesn't show up. I have always had it so my spam emails show up and that they are NOT deleted automaticly. It's been 10 minutes since I requested it.

Emails are sent every 6 minutes. However, they are also given a level of priority. Those given the highest priority are sent first. {Wink}

Why are emails sent every 6 minutes? like the post/topics alerts?

Post/Topic alerts don't exist.

They are sent every 6 minutes to lower the strain on the sever.

With the new system which was implemented last night, emails are sent in batches every 60 seconds. So provided there's not too many emails in the queue then most messages should be sent instantly.

I've just logged into your account and requested it to resend the key. I then tracked that message through the email system and it claims that the message was sent OK.

I waited 10 more minutes, still no email and my spam settings are so I do get the emails.

As said, the email is being sent by our server. Ensure you've entered the correct address. And maybe try having it sent to a different provider.

As said, the email is being sent by our server. Ensure you've entered the correct address. And maybe try having it sent to a different provider.


Certain providers may automatically block PHP-generated emails, so ask your provider what their policy is, as that may be why you're not receiving them.

Ok, I got it now.

Yahoo wasn't working, so switched it to send the email to my Hotmail and got it.
