we are getting several members today who are finding the board very slow loadin some have taken as long as this to load up

also is there any issue with AOL members registering as we have several members who use aol and non can register they keep gettin "confirmation code is wrong "

now i have just joined one aol member myself with no problem (but all forums we have used have had problems with aol users {Unsure}

I've been popping on the server all morning and haven't experienced any long loading times. And looking at the server status it doesn't seem to be under any strain at the moment. My best guess for such a slow load would be an issue with the host used for your images or maybe an issue with that users ISP.

As for the AOL issue, I've altered the security image headers to try and prevent the AOL browser from caching it. Hopefully that'll resolve the issue.

If you can get them to do the following I might be able to trace what is causing the lag:

Start -> Run

Type "cmd" and press "OK".

Type "tracert virtualforums.co.uk" and press enter. That'll trace the path to our server.

Once it's finished, they need to right click, choose "Select All" and then copy the results here.

It has improved for me recently, but earlier it was going at 6-8 second for a page load. If Ross can't find anything peculiar then we'll put it down to people's connections.

well touch wood all members at the moment seem to have normal speed loading, had a few up untill 6pm uk time with problems tho but like said could be server probs
