Would it be possible to add another messenger to the profile. I know it can be done in code, but would like it to be as a feature.

The two I am thinking of is, PlayStation Network ID (PSN ID) and the Xbox Gamer Tag. You have xFire already, so why not those two?

xFire is more of a tracker. or at least thats how I see it.

I think before we add those we should take a poll of popularity. For me its a waste of money on a ps3 or xbox, so for me I don't care to have them added.

Months ago last year we talked about adding Skype, it never got added. With that, I see little reason to add them when Additional Profile Options can substitute.

Skype should be added if anything. PSN & XBL aren't messenger systems, and can be added as addon profile options. I don't agree with xfire being there because I don't know how many people use it, but perhaps Ross could divulge! I'd definitely add my skype in if it were a profile option.

Well Michael, I think having at least psn and live would be great to have on there as it would spread around your name like xfire a few people has added me becuase I put my xfire name on several forums. I use my ps3 as a mesenger anyways because I do message people on there not sure how the cbox does it. But the ps3 acts like a messenger you can even do video/voice chat on it too.

You can put it in your sig like you have here. I just personally feel that Skype is more important.

I concur with Michael on that level, Skype is a higher noted messenger. I would for sure put mine in if it were an option.

I doubt that will happen.

1) You can just add it to your profile template...
2) They are more for games then messaging and talking
3) Xbox Live and PSN are not for the computer.

Fine as a code, or part of the additional profile options, but not a feature.

That's all I had to do and it works. You can also put it on your register page.

Ahh ok I see. But then again it wont link up to their actual profiles on the PSN or live site. like how xFire, when you press your xfire link for an example it takes me to your xFire profile.

But in the APO, it wont it'll just be text, and that's not what I am aiming for.

Because I want it to be like this PSN (don't know how live has it though.) But that's what I want, and obviously it wont be like that in the APO.

The Support forum is running a different version of the software and might be only on here for a test purpose or something.

The entire messenger / social media accounts list system is different on this forum. As guessed, we're running a test version of the code here. It is, in theory, ready to go live once there's a little bit of tweaking and once I've written a converter for existing forums. I've just not found the time to do it yet
