I think it would be good for all admin's to know who is on and not on .

There is the "status" display in the mini-profile already which shows if a member has been logged in within the last 5 minutes. Knowing if someone is still online or not is impossible. Very few people use the logout feature - they are much more likely to just close the browser, navigate away from the site or just leave their computer on with their browser open. Doing it based on last activity is the only viable way. As my mini-profile is demonstrating, with the new templating system it will be possible to show at what time that last activity took place.
