Hide entire board/ Make invisible - Posted By Jedi Slayer (jedislayer) on 7th May 09 at 5:36am
I would like to have boards be invisible, often times if I am setting up things I want them to link to a hidden board and link back out with out the messiness of seeing them all, right now I literally set up a second "database site" to link to other boards I don;t want cluttering up the place.

why not just make the board administrator access only until your ready for everyone else to view it?

Because I never want the board it self to be viewd.

For Example I used this in 2 ways on that other host

1) so that categories or boards were viewable by only specific Member groups. Keeps the board cleaner looking to the average viewer

2) I want to set up steps for people to do something, such as character development, so I set up a main board with Step 1, than step 2-4 are in a hidden boards that you can only access by clicking on the link before it.

This is already an option when creating/modifying a board.

Display Board -> Never

hmm ok I guess i missed that some how....

But how about in the first use where the boards is only available to even be scene by certain member groups.

So if I have a Jedi Faction board the Sith do not even see it's existence

That falls under the same section. You have the checkboxes to choose which groups / ranks have access to view the board. You can then set the "Display Board" option to "Access Only"
