Even more advance topic moderation - Posted By ashkir (ashkir) on 5th May 09 at 10:24am
One of my loves of vBulletin and Invision Power Board is a place in the admin panel where you can create thread actions. Actions generally are:

+ Post Reply
+ Post Reply and Sticky.
+ Post Reply and Move.
+ Post Reply and Lock.

The reply box is usually a reason why the thread was moved, that is automated. For example 'Thanks for submitting! You have been accepted!' Or the post reply and lock, 'You have violated a rule. Please take this up to a staff member, please click here to overview the rules.' Or even a sticky for random things.

I would love this option on vForums. ^_^

I suggest trying out IPB to see what I mean.

Basically there is a dropdown and you select an action you created. It can do one of the combinations I did on the original post.

They can also add to topic title.

So I go create an action called 'Ross is n00b' and set this action up to make a post saying 'PWNED by ROSS' and automatically lock and move the thread to a new place and edit the title to add [PWN] in the front.

It effects the whole thread, not an individual post. Moving a post seems more of a merge system to me, this is just topic moderation.
