Member groups assigned by non-main admins - Posted By jackattack (jackattack) on 3rd May 09 at 10:28pm
Hi,

I've been very impressed with every feature I've seen on Virtual Forums. I'm really enjoying just exploring the features of this great provider. However, I do have a suggestion.

Something that always has gotten me mad is the "Member Group" features. Why? Because I'm a guy who rolls with co-admins, and I get tired of having to log on to the main admin account just to edit some member group stuff.  I mean really, that gets very annoying very quickly.

So, my solution to this problem is to allow the main admin to give certain users they trust to have the "member group" feature.

Hi. That is already a feature of our software. If you go to the Modify member group page and scroll right to the bottom you will find two powers under the "Critical Admin Powers" section: "Assign Member Groups" and "Manage Member Groups". The first enables them to change which groups other members belong to. The second will let them modify and create member groups. Restrictions on not being able to modify their own groups are in place to prevent a second admin from increasing their own powers. {Smile}
