I think it's a good idea!

What about between the title bars? Should there be a gap there as well or should they remain "attached" to the top/bottom post?

Oh, and I've enabled it on here so you can see what I mean.

Or default it so that they aren't split. I think like they are at the moment is fine (so long as it allows head/base as well?:)

I've set it so they don't split. If people think that it's necessary then it can easily be added as an option at a latter date

Yep The options to enable it are in "General Settings" below the seperate sticky options.
