How about them?

Have it so that instead of the first 100 chars appearing in the tooltip, have the description put there instead! {Cheesy}

Yeah, i can see that working! That, or perhaps a subtitle to the thread name (i think similar can be achieved on Invision) i if the opening post is long winded and takes a while to get to the nub of the matter.

Well I think the hover thing for the topic listing... and when viewing the topic, just show it under the title.

Like on other forum supporters?...I think thats what your on about. If so...I never read them...ever I just click the thread. They are good for important threads.

It could always be optional and if it's not filled in then it could use the first 100 characters instead. I can't see this taking up too many resources to implement.

Yes, provided I can get it working right (which is proving a pain at the moment)
