Head/Base imges - Posted By Dreg[Bot] (dregondrahl) on 5th Jan 08 at 1:50pm
Browser: FireFox

Major Error in alignments of the tables and everything.

Browser: IE6

The side images are higher then the background.

Re: Head/Base imges - Posted By Ross (admin) on 5th Jan 08 at 1:53pm
Preview? And what version of fx? The test images I used were showing fine in firefox on my machine here.

Re: Head/Base imges - Posted By Dreg[Bot] (dregondrahl) on 5th Jan 08 at 2:00pm
http://samus.virtualforums.co.uk/

FF 2

Edit: Also your presetting the height to 12px for the background image, thats one of the reasons why its off alignment for IE.

There's nothing there... add the head/base etc... again please

Re: Head/Base imges - Posted By Dreg[Bot] (dregondrahl) on 5th Jan 08 at 3:44pm

Re: Head/Base imges - Posted By Dreg[Bot] (dregondrahl) on 5th Jan 08 at 6:25pm
Also if your updating it, MAYBE try it in this structure?

<style type="text/css">
<!--
.head {
     background: url( { URL FROM SKINS SECTION } ) center center;
     height: { HEIGHT FROM SKINS SECTION };
}
.head_left {
     background: url( { URL FROM SKINS SECTION } ) center center;
     height: { HEIGHT FROM SKINS SECTION };
     float: left;
}
.head_right {
     background: url( { URL FROM SKINS SECTION } ) center center;
     height: { HEIGHT FROM SKINS SECTION };
     float: right;
}

.base {
     background: url( { URL FROM SKINS SECTION } ) center center;
     height: { HEIGHT FROM SKINS SECTION };
}
.base_left {
     background: url( { URL FROM SKINS SECTION } ) center center;
     height: {HEIGHT FROM SKINS SECTION };
     float: left;
}
.base_right {
     background: url( { URL FROM SKINS SECTION } ) center center;
     height: { HEIGHT FROM SKINS SECTION };
     float: right;
}
-->
</style>

<div class="head"><div class="head_left"></div><div class="head_right"></div></div>
<div class="slip_bg" align="center">
     { TABLE }
</div>
<div class="base"><div class="base_left"></div><div class="base_right"></div></div>

And in the skins Section something like

Head: [INPUT] Head Left: [INPUT] Head Right: [INPUT] Height: [INPUT]

Base: [INPUT] Base Left: [INPUT] Base Right: [INPUT] Height: [INPUT]

Re: Head/Base imges - Posted By Ross (admin) on 5th Jan 08 at 10:56pm
I don't really want to make people enter the image height so am looking at ways of doing it with tables. As soon as I get it working right in IE (works fine in Fx and Opera) I'll upload the changes to all forums.

Edit: Have uploaded the changes. Let me know if they work OK.

Re: Head/Base imges - Posted By Dreg[Bot] (dregondrahl) on 5th Jan 08 at 11:10pm
Yeah, tables is the only other option, thats why i remarked on it before *waits impatiently* hhehehe Smiley

Works perfect Ross! *will do more testing*

Re: Head/Base imges - Posted By Dreg[Bot] (dregondrahl) on 5th Jan 08 at 11:18pm
The slip_bg div doesn't seem to be closed right {Unsure}

EDIT: Just FF being Ghey, apparently your nesting the slip_bg around the div's that create the gap between categories and the sticky threads. ME thinks you put it for the whole bunch of tables, instead of each one
