I tried to change the on and off icons but whenever I pressed save, they didn't change at all.

This wont be a bug mate, are you sure you put the on/off icons in the right template? As you will have a default then your own skin?

I only have one skin so whenever I update them it should stay. I don't need to change the board template do I?
