If, when you click on a thread, the new posts start at post 15, it still loads onto the first page. If I change the page number in the URL to 2, then it works.
This happens when there is one post on the second page I do believe.

That was fixed a while ago. Mithras, what forum is this happening on? And if possible, can you link me to a topic it happens on.

Then you'll need to be specific about what the issue is. As I say, there's nothing abnormal about the topic which I can see.

It's not supposed to. When no page is specified it presumes that you want page 1. It'll only take you to the last page you viewed when you click into the topic from the topic listing. When I do that I get taken to page 2, reply 2 as I should.

Strange problem that is...
I've encountered this problem a few times as well; after having viewed reply-14 on the first page, I am still redirected to the first page when I should be going to the second.
It takes you to the last post you viewed, not the first one you haven't. Doing it the other way around tends to cause more issues than it sorts.
In which case, shouldn't it go to reply-14 rather than reply-15?
I didn't know it was supposed to go to the last post you read, but either way, it doesn't work

That's the page that I ended up with ... from main page. I posted the last reply so I obviously saw the last on page 1. Didn't go to page 2!
Was that clicking through from the main page column?

I've reflected the change made to the topic listings to affect the last post column on the main page too
