frufru's typo report March 07, 2008 xD - Posted By Jason (frufru) on 7th Mar 08 at 8:57pm
Admin panel >> General Settings

Under "Forum Layout", "separate" is spelled wrong a few times {Tongue Out}

Admin panel >> Ban Members

Creating a New Ban
You can also use this page to directly create new bans, for example if you banned a particular email on another forum and want to ensure they are banned from here too. Simply fill in the required criteria leaving any unneeded columns blank and click the "Update Banned Members" button. If you need to add more bans than there are input boxes avaliable, simply fill in those 4 fileds and save the page. When you then return to this page from the menu, there will be 4 new slots.
Wildcard Banning
Wildcard banning can be used to ban a range of criteria. This type of ban is especially useful for persistent spammers using rotating IP addresses. To use, substitute any letter(s) with an asterix. eg. 123.456.789.* will ban all IP addresses starting with 123.456.789 such as 123.456.789.001 and 123.456.789.543

Admin panel >> Ad-free settings

(Beside Pause Ad-free)
Here you can choose to temporarily pause your ad-free campaign. Whilst paused, ads will reappear on you forum and your remainning page views will no longer decrease.

Admin panel >> Additional Profile Options

This page can be used to add additional profile options into a users profile. This can be used for both themed forums (particually role play forums) as well as general forums, allowing you to prompt members for additional information such as their occupation, mood, star-sign etc.
By entering a value into the "Min-Length" field you are making that field compulsary.

Admin panel >> Create board (after selecting category)

Beside the "Moderators" field:
Enter the usernames or the group of members who will moderate this board. Seperate names with a comma. eg. "admin, group2". Note, you can assign moderation powers to members by placing them in a member group.

(same for modify board)

In Admin panel >> Create member groups

What's with the extremely odd use of punctuation in the descriptions? I was going to ignore it, but noticed that sometimes you put a question mark, sometimes you don't {Tongue Out}

Oh, and beside "View IP Addresses": Set to allow members of this group to view the IP adresses of both members and guests.

Beside "View security log": Can this group view the forum secrity log that lists all moderation and administration related actions performed on the forum.

OK, that's all for now {Tongue Out}

You have way too much time on your hands. {Tongue Out}

They're all fixed in the admin panel here but won't change on other forums quite yet. It seems that if I spell a word wrong in one place I'll spell it wrong everywhere {Embarassed} But I never claimed to be a good speller anyway {Tongue Out}
