Mage Designs v4 - Posted By Nick (nickb) on 3rd Nov 08 at 6:53am
Finally after a long time of procrastinating I finally re-did Mage Designs. I put some new boards in, and made a new awesome skin.

The biggest problem I have with the skin is that its not overly dynamic. I think if you're going to have a design forum, you should really go all out, incorporating innovative methods and an electrifying skin. And it should be made to express yourself as much as possible. That's really what should separate your design forum from any others. However, the images you have incorporated into the main page are good and interesting. And the colors match pretty well.
As for the content, I don't have any complaints. It seems like you have all the variables needed as long as you are able to keep the sections active.
5/10. I just don't see enough innovation in this design forum. I think that if i were looking for a design forum, I wouldn't be impressed by the skin enough to join and ask for the services.

What do you mean overly dynamic?
I can only do so much, the UBBC and Smiley's I can't really do, unless I take them from some one else's forums, but that would be called steeling, and I really do not want to do that
I am looking for a Designer though that would be willing to help me out.
Thanks for your rate.

By dynamic i mean truly innovative. I just think that design forums are there because the designer has something to offer that you just can't get anywhere else. And I'm not really seeing an example of it.
And when you say you can't get UBBC and smileys, do you mean that you can't change them?

Ahh Ok, well, I am good at designing themed sites, but not sites like this, I come up with well that.
And yes I can't change the colors on them, I try, I even did what they said in the Graphics board here on VFs, and I could not do it, even with PhotoShop CS2

the design looks old fashion to me

Thanks
How come you did not say that to vForums Advertising? It's all the same design besides the color?
The one on vForums Advertising is called "DuoTone Purple" The one on Mage Designs is (DuoTone Brown) Thats what Paint Shop Pro 9 calls it.

its the color tone that makes it look old fashion, and dull and lonely...

I think it looks good really. I will make a new skin later on, I just have not been in the mood to do anything anymore right now.
