I love the SNES Emulator its cool, Right now i am playing Breath Of Fire, I also have the all star Mario pack that has all Mario games (Even the one that hasn't been released to the US.) I also have many others like Donkey Kong 1-3, Mario kart, its So AWESOME, I actually get to play the games I used to play when I was younger.

I also have more Emu's like N64, and NES, its so awesome!

Would this be against the TOS?

Why Would Emulators be against the TOS?

Re: Emulator's - Posted By Graham (amusedtodeath) on 13th Dec 07 at 12:18am
Because they're illegal copies of coprighted games? Well, the ROM's are, but the emulators are what are needed to play the ROMs.

I guess it's something for Ross to decide - it can be the 1st check of the TOS for him {Wink}

Meh not if you have the games, it wont, nor if you buy the roms.

The law on ROMs, as far as I'm aware, is that you can only download/use a ROM if you have purchased a copy of the game.

I think it depends on the country, i belive it is in the US, but i don't think it is over here...tis a sticky wicket. {Unsure}

Which I do, I just dont have the consoles anymore, they all broke on me {Sad} , so I went the Emulator route.

Search ebay for the actual consoles, you can pick them up really cheap - i wanted my N64 back (well, not mine, of course) and i got one boxed, in excellent condition with Goldeneye for £25. I bet you can find cheaper too {Wink}

As for Emus, i used to have a SNES one, and i've still got a GameBoy one on here.

I don't like ebay, one of my friends bought Final Fantasy VII off of there, he only got the case and no games, and it costed him about $20 Actual Price. I used to have all 3 disc's but disc 1 and 3 broke. You cant find them in stores what so ever any more, not even the PC version, and the PSX Emulator requires the cd and since I dont have disc 1 and 3 any more I cant use it.

I used to have quite a few emulators, and lots of ROMs, but I stopped playing after every time I wanted a good game the ROM sites I used to go to would all of a sudden be porn. {Unsure}

As for buying an N64, I can get new N64's for $15. {Tongue Out}
