Has anyone used BigWetFish here before? I need hosting for a new domain/site I am working on and my ErrorHost is fine, but just for hope. So probably gonna go paid.
So how is BigWetFish.co.uk if you used it. I hear SSD was told to leave them because they nearly used all their bandwidth every month.

All their shared packages are very good, awesome support too
I was looking at BigWetFish because of a yearly price. 6 * 12 = 72 bucks. I may have a hard time coming up with that as most of my income is gifts. I am under review to renew my SSI.
surpass is about $60 a year
Whereas BigWetFish comes to around 22 bucks a year. Which makes a big difference to me. As I have no job, so no steady source of income.surpass is about $60 a year
you said it was 72!
6 * 12 = 72, right?you said it was 72!

Indeed, but you said in a later post that it was 22 Am assuming tis a typo.
I meant BigWetFish is 22 bucks USD roughly the host Wrighty recommended is 72.
they charge per month or year...
Mine has better specs!
I use bluehost, its really great and cheap
Since all I could really afford to throw away (after buying ad free here =D) I went with BigWetFish, if I don't like them I guess I'd know I don't like them. That's why I left HostGator and ASO. (ASO had horrible downtime on my server and denied a lot of it.)

Why did you leave HostGator? They're pretty good in my opinion.

Aye, the record label i run the forum for uses them for their site, it's pretty good
HostGator had nearly a month of downtime with me, and some of my data was lost, and they messed up cPanel on the server I was on and they denied all claims regardless of how many screenshots and videos I had of it. And I had one chat convo saved with an employee saying that the administrators messed an upgrade up, and they deny that person worked for them. oO
Edit: Does Ross have a referral with them? =P They said I can give them a referral at a later time. I just put Russ of VirtualForums.co.uk in the referral thingy.

I use them and if you have decided to sign up with them, I don't think you have made a bad choice! Support is good and so is the overall hosting service

I've never heard of them before.
I don't know if I would go with them if they are turning away sites for being too large. Maybe you should just go with a more commonly known site like GoDaddy?
GoDaddy put's ads on their pages, how professional is that for a paid hosting service that has millions of customers? I know GoDaddy is alright and everything, but I hate their control panel, and they are more of a 'domain register' to me. I'd like to keep the two seprate even though I use MISK.I've never heard of them before.

I am going BigWetFish just to see. I guess hands on experimentation is the best.
It generally isn't a good idea to get hosting from a registrar, like it isn't a good idea to get a domain from a host.
The only exception I ever had was Elixant =P. They were pure awesome. It generally isn't a good idea to get hosting from a registrar, like it isn't a good idea to get a domain from a host.

I'm pretty sure they gave me our domain for free. I'm not one to pass up something free, haha.
True. =] All we had to do was go apply for a free reseller account and Mike pushed it to our account too =]The only exception I ever had was Elixant =P. They were pure awesome. It generally isn't a good idea to get hosting from a registrar, like it isn't a good idea to get a domain from a host.
