So using math in role play? :p - Posted By ashkir (ashkir) on 11th Jan 08 at 3:31am
{Tongue Out}

I was bored. So I decided to go to the candy shop on a board I love, (active too). So here's what I ordered:

Quote:
Ashkir Devereux decided he had a sweet tooth today! Well, since he works a lot, watches Matt, study, goes to school and spends time with Nyna he doesn’t have much time to go out and just go pleasure shopping. So it was different for him to have a chance to do so.

So the young eighteen year old male ran off to Hogsmeade down through Rose Petal Lane, or whatever it’s called. Soon arriving at Honeydukes, Ashkir stepped in. Taking a moment he looked around seeing what was available. Then making up his mind he walked up to the counter. “Heed to take notes,” he smirked. He loved giving the cashiers hard times.

“I would like to get one large hot chocolate,” yeah that was easy for now. Wasn’t it? He paused for a few seconds, and then went on. “Three to the fourth power of chocolate frog pieces,” his smirk stayed. “Eight to the second power in sugar quills, and thirteen to the third in liquorish wands.” Hey he spoke what he wanted, it was up to the cashier to figure out how many pieces he actually wanted. What’s wrong with some simple math?

Now hold your horses, Ashkir ain’t done yet. “Also I’d like to get three hundred forty six divided by eight pounds of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans.” Okay now he was done. But he paused again, just in case he changed his mind about something. But he didn’t, so “That’s it now.”

Now would you hate having to do that math? What would your reactions be, etc?

I would tell you to either give me a specific number or get out of the store. {Tongue Out}

If I can do all that math in my head, am I a math geek?

By the way, 346 doesn't divide by eight cleanly. Is the cashier supposed to give him 1/4 pound of beans?

PS: I would tell him the cost in natural log format. Eat that, sucker.

PPS: Who orders 43.25 pounds of beans, 81 chocolate frog pieces, 64 sugar quills, and 2,197 licorice wands anyways? That's a lot of candy. I wanna be their dentist.

I'd tell him in binary. {Tongue Out}

Yup, a forth pound of beans.

I order that much candy. I stock up for the year or somewhat. =P. Okay there's a party tomorrow night at midnight.

Always remember: if you've found a way to be a pain in the ass to someone, there's a good chance they're capable of being even more of a pain in the ass to you.
