Guess who's buying one? {Shocked}

No, not Rossy. He's too awesome for Apple. Smiley

No, not Grahamy, either; he'd rather spend the money on lots and lots of beer down at the pub. {Tongue Out}

Wrighty? Nahh, he could buy a lot of server space with that money... {Smile}

Out of guesses? ...Oh, you have more? Well, too bad! It's me!!!!! {Grin}

Haha, I made the decision earlier this evening. My original plan was to buy a desktop for the majority of my computer use, and then a laptop for school and on-the-go stuff. However, after finally getting a chance to sit down and look at all the features of the iPad (yay for having rich friends who buy everything the day they come out. {Tongue Out} ), I've decided that it has more than enough features for what I'd need it for. It's got a lot of nice features built in, and there are free apps available that create doc/xls/ppt files, and so on. So, for only $450 for the 16gb (that's 225 pounds for those who can't divide by two. {Tongue Out} ), I think it's a much wiser investment that spending more money on a laptop that I wouldn't use much.

Do any of you have an iPad? If so, what are your thoughts on it? Do you regret buying? If you don't have one, do you plan on buying one?

I saw the price tag and I thought I would need another heart surgery.

I went to look at them yesterday... they're epic! I do want one, but I haven't the money for one ... however, I should soon be getting some money so might consider it {Smile}

Haha, from what I've heard, it's definitely worth it. Especially with a lot of new features and apps coming out almost daily, it's becoming more and more powerful. When their free OS update comes out later this year, it will feature complete multitasking capability, and there are also seem really awesome apps in the works. I'll be purchasing mine likely in the first week of July (partly because I still need to save up a little more, but mainly because they're pretty much sold out all over...)

I'll get pics up once I have it. {Smile}

Plus, i've got the iphone, the macbook and the ipod so i think i've given Jobs & co enough of my money for now {Tongue Out}

I'm getting the iPhone 4G this summer when my current phone plan expires, as well. The features look really awesome. {Grin}

iMacs turned me off of Apple for years, but over the past few years I've been warming up to them substantially; they've got some quite nice products...even if they are horribly overpriced. {Tongue Out}

Hmm... I'd want them, but neither of them seem to be worth the price for me at this time. Plus I had just gotten the iPhone 3GS around this time last year so I'm not looking to change that in a hurry. I am looking forward to OS4 though so I can multitask and put apps into folders & get more apps (and a bunch of other new things). Currently I'm extremely close to the app limit and it's a mess on my home screens...

We got one, not the biggest fan of a large iPod touch {Tongue Out}
