VNC Controlled Robot - Posted By Marc (cr0w) on 16th Jan 10 at 1:07am
So, as many of you probably know, I'm very much into electronics and such. I'm currently taking a Computer Engineering class at school, and this semester we've been working on a VNC controlled robot.

Those are some videos of it.

It's still in a very primitive form, and we're currently working on a metal chassis for it, along with a better looking design & such. We're also working on getting a better drive system in; possibly belt drive or chain drive. Following that, we'll be putting an arm on it that can move, so that it can use the school elevator on its own. {Grin}

So yeah, erm...comment & such. {Smile}

Oh, and these are the specs for the robot:

- IBM ThinkCenter P4 running Windows XP Professional
- MOSFET controller interfaced to parallel port
- Logitech pan-n-tilt webcam
- Powered of off a 13.2V car battery
- 1000W power inverter
- Cisco Wireless-N router
- Mercedes-Benz windshield wiper motors

The robot's name is ROGER, which stands for Remotely Operated Group Engineered Robot. {Wink}
