So yeah yesterday I discovered that my HDD is failing, this message: http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x20/magedesigns/misc/Untitled-11.jpg So I figured a scan disk would work, it did not. So I then figured a reformat would fix it... nope...

So I'm not sure when my HDD will give. I do not have any money to get it fixed, and my warranty expired.... So I can't buy a new HDD, if I bought a new HDD, then I would have to buy a vista install disc, which is $100 or more for Home Premium. I want to buy a whole new computer, but again, I do not have any money.

So once this HDD fails, I am going to be computerless, until I can get some money. I will be able to get on our desktop, which is only 512MB of RAM, 28GB of HDD, and it's Windows XP. It's very slow and I can't stand it. My laptop has 4GB of RAM, which is fast.

So your laptop is failing? Umm dude, i might be able to help you, my laptop is going out and i'm just going to toss it, i might be able to send you the hdrive, yes i'm running an illegal copy of windows xp on it and its only 40gb, but if its the right port type to fit in your laptop i can send it to you, like i said i'm going to toss my laptop anyways

That's not good. {Sad} My HDD is failing too.. I can tell because my computer keeps restarting at random times. {Tongue Out}

Darkdays, if your oc is restarting, you need to check your bios, it could be do to a temp system in your bios, shuting it down before it gets to hot, and if that not the problem its more likely to be your cpu thats going out..

Nah it's ok Dwight but Why toss it out? Send it to me! {Grin} I called up Toshiba, and I still have my warranty, So monday I have to re call them to get a UPS box sent to me, so I can ship it out and get it fixed. I am also going to get Misc. things fixed to, like my D drive, and allot of other stuff.

But now I get BSOD's. I think it's because I have not done the Windows Updates, so that's what I am doing now. I can't even open firefox or I will end up with a BSOD error. {Tongue Out} I can't even download a firewall, or and anti virus to keep me secured until I send it out. {Tongue Out}
