So today, I decided that I'd donate blood. I had thought up to today that I wasn't able to - well went and chatted and realised that I could!

So I've lost my donor virginity!

If you haven't donated blood are able to, I recommend that you do it. I felt so happy with myself after it ... my friends and I had a good laugh when doing it, come 16 weeks time, I'll be right back there in a shot.

Do something amazing, give blood!



Anyone else regularly give blood?

Well we were going to, probably will soon though. But we get Money out of it, I think it depends on your weight though. Not really sure. I think the first time you get $100 each. Then each time you come back every other day it goes down to like $50 each.

I would donate, but doctor says no. xD. I have blood thinners and who knows what else in my blood. XD. My last heart surgery was called at the last minute so nobody in my family was able to donate...so thank you donors!

Darkmage, here they don't do that. xD. But they do go to the high schools about twice a year. For donating you can ditch one class period. XD. So many people show up during math. Is that telling the school something? =P

I've donated over a gallon of blood so far. I am actually donating again Mar 24th.

I've never given blood, but I'm pretty sure you get money here, too. I know for sure that they give you milk and cookies after, though.

Here they give you twinkies, soda and candy afterwords. xD. If you go to the labs that is. But the hospital I was in during my last open heart did a donation day and they got over two thousand units that day and the hospital gave a free lunch from the cafe to each. The cafe at Children's Hospital in Madera is like a restaurant. xD
