DOwn in sussex we've not been it as hard as other parts of the country (which is normal, being down south) but i'm still not looking forward to driving in it

Hahaha, -10 is a severe weather warning in the UK? For us, that's regular winter temperatures.

We don't get temperature warnings unless if it's -30 or -40; it was -18 this morning.

been really cold down here im down south west in plymouth but they sed this morning its going to start getting a little warmer down here

It is currently -1 (-8 with windchill).
By tomorrow morning it will be -24 (-34 with windchill).

True, but you're used to it! If we have cold weather over here, the entire country comes to a standstill

Some more to make almost everyone here feel better about their weather, including me. In Winnipeg (where I had lived for 5 years), it is currently -36 (with the windchill making it feel like -50).

I live in the Northeast US. We rejoice if we see 20F after November.

I don't think it's a case of being a 'wimp', more a case that we aren't all that used to those sort of temperatures as we have a much more temperate climate.
