So, vForums is a year old now (the second sign up was on the 26th). It's a big milestone for the service - it's not a little baby anymore!

I rolled up here as the 10th member to sign up - 9th December was the day. I found the place after popping my head into eCreations and seeing a link to the support forum. "Oooh!" i thought, "lets see what this is about". I had no idea of the potential to begin with and was intrigued to see how this would fare.
It was during December that Wrighty and Marc became the first staff members, taking up spots that many people were interested in. I took up my spot on the team exactly a month after joining. After that, we saw Blanka, tricky, Slip and FruFru join the ranks of 'folks with teh power' Throughout the year we have seen Wrighty leave the staff team, as well as Blanka from his role as graphics mod. The big test came in July when Ross took a holiday, leaving the mods in charge Fortunately, Marc didn't break anything and everything went smoothly (perhaps Ross should go on holiday more often )
Outside of the staff, there have been some long serving 'regular' members; Darkmage, Dreggie, .System, XeroCint (where did he go?) and Dwight, each of them bringing something unique to the support forum and the service, with a range of unique and interesting forums.
Technology wise, the system has improved leaps and bounds, with the addition of some fantastic features such as the infinite sub-sub boards, the 'Recycle Bin' feature (a godsend for many a forum admin), a superior skinning system with templates for various aspects of the forum and the recent redesign of the forum and main site, designed by our very own Slip

So, what's in store for 2009? Well, there are many things in store and i think it will be the year that really takes off for vForums

Personally, i'd like to thank everyone here - there's been times i've needed a good giggle and i've got them. It's also kept me busy when i've most needed it, and also distracting me when i've been trying to do essays Ross deserves the biggest thanks from everyone here for his tireless work for the site, waking up at all times to deal with problems and always being friendly and cheerful about it. There's been some hard times but he's shone through, the place is something to be very proud of
Wrighty and Marc both deserve special mentions; some of the things they have helped develop have lasting effects here. The work Marc does here is astounding, though he still needs a poke to get it done On a personal level, each of the staff here are absolutely fantastic and set the service apart from every other provider - friendly, approachable and more than happy to do what's asked and go beyond that.

What's left but to say Bring On 2009!

I joined the 28th of January,2008 becoming the 90th member. (w00t ) I made 4 forums Some were just me messing around. Only 1 is still up today. I have been around but I haven't been posting much but I am hoping to start posting a lot more now. I really like all the coding that VForums has been doing. It's like proboards but with all the good stuff that Proboards didn't want to put in .

I've had fun with Vforums the past year. Which is almost a year of me being a member. 2 more months. Really from what I seen is there is no other way but up. Vforums is gonna be one of the most successful free forum provider. I can just feel it

To make sure I don't start rambling I will just want to say that 2009 will be a great year. And Congratulations Ross for this awsome forum provider And thanks for putting up with us.

I am glad to be apart of this service I have not had much problems with this service like other services in the past. But Ross Proved to be the best. All the staff here, I must congratulate, because every single last one of them are very wonderful. The members here are wonderful as well. Some of us had our differences but later on we all got along. I joined on 10:26pm on 25th November 2007. I was the first one to join even though it shows fireindy as the first one to join on 8:48pm on 25th November 2007.

When I first joined all I saw was Staff Tests and then Ross's name. (I just think its some kind of glitch IMO )

I found this forum on eCreations. (I saw eCreations in Ross's sig on PBS) So I clicked on the link, saw the Banner at the bottom for vF, clicked on it. Read what it was about. I then bookmarked it, because the sign ups were disabled. The next day I got on (very first thing, even before I checked my email and other forums) and saw that sign ups were open. Thus now I am here today typing this.

So all I have to say is.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIRTUAL FORUMS!!!!

Yay! That was an awesome year so far.

I'll take the present.

Just like Graham, I found vForums through eCreations, and I was like "cool maybe it better then proboards." so I checked it out and I loved it. Since I joined back in January of 08 the site was still developing and wasn't much to say for, but I liked it a lot, and now, almost almost a year since I joined the service has flourished. new features have been added that made the forum service great, and yet it is still advancing, even though processed has slowed/

Either way, Ross thank you very much for this forum service, It is great and I am looking forward to seeing how things will advance from here, and I plan on sticking around to see how this forum service will unfold in the time to come.
