How has 2008 been for you?

Has it been an overall good or bad year for you? What big events (if any) have happened that have shaped either your year, or even your life? Give us a review of your year!
Are you looking forward to 2009?

For me, 2008 has been a very topsy turvy year for me. There have been many positive experiences such as my girlfriend returning from Uni and getting to see her more than once every month or so Plus becoming closer to people and having a good solid group of friends.
Some bad points including being diagnosed with depression in March, and my father dying 3 weeks ago They;re both events which have meant an upheaval in how i live my life and how i think about things. Fortunately the light at the end of the tunnel is gradually getting closer and i'm quite excited about 2009

I would have to say 08 sucked for me. Over the past few years I have been getting sicker and sicker and this year have been the worst.

But on a brighter not and the only bright not about this year, my game is come close to about 50% ready to release into a beta stage

It's sorta been horrible for me. I've been depressed almost the whole summer, just many things happened in my Personal Life, I am sorta down. That's why I have not been on any messengers within a few days.... I just don't want to talk to anyone at the moment... (besides posting on here, and a few other forums I am on.)

It's been good/bad this year. I am hoping '09 will be better, especially I hope Obama does a good job to! We don't need another war/terror...

This year has been pretty good. First at the start of January I came to Vforums which has kept me busy and entertained. This Summer I went to Mexico. (Which was really fun since I have never been out of the country before) I have met a lot of new people this year at vforums too. Some which I like more then others but still I met a lot of people

I can't wait till next year. I'm worried what Obama might bring to us though I bet next year will be better

It's been great so far. I hope the year will end out nice.

Interesting, I'm with Graham on the topsy turvyness of everything. I've been having regular fights with my girlfriend and I'm not sure how much longer till I walk out on the relationship.

However, on the positive, me and my friends have decided to house share and will probably be moving out of home in early 2009. Though, that is still up in the air at the moment, most of this year has been concentrating on schoolwork though, less than 1 year until I graduate forever now

2008 was basically my first year as an adult. It was a sudden shift for me. I don't think I was ready for the sudden shift. My health condition slipped into a worse state and doctors became afraid to do anything for nearly a majority of the year. Then they decided they had to do something if nothing I would've died.

I loved the last words I heard my surgeon say before they discharged me, "You're cured." It took nearly all my life to find a cure...finally a cure. :].

The worst year of my entire life.

My 2008 was well....good enough to get by. Not to bad and not the best I've ever had. Hopefully 2009 will be better now that Obama is in office!
