I already bought one, and I get it tomorrow {Tongue Out} I had a bad release day story about trying to get it.. long story short every time I waited in a line for hours they ended up for some reason not being able to sell us the phones that were in front of us, so we just ordered some.

it looks so sleek!! I can't get over how amazing Apple products look like. And one of our local phone providers are giving out IPhones at a discount {Cheesy}

Haha, you pretty much attacked me on MSN with the news. {Tongue Out}

But personally, as great as iPhones are, I think they're overrated. I think it's all more of a hype that Apple has a phone out than the phone itself. {Tongue Out}

I do agree with Marc, whats the point in having one? They are over rated. To me, a phone makes phone calls and text messages - that's it. Anything else is unnecessary. The new iPhone has too many features, it has features that the majority of people will never use, it has internet etc, designed for you to spend more money.

People complain about mobile phone debts, things like the iPhone etc are what cause this with extra features that cost extra money, but you have to have it to be the best - but whats the point? The emphasis placed on the smexiness of a product is ridiculous resulting in huge debts. People already have perfectly good phones, why buy a new one? Clearly 1million people's phones could not have broken within those 3 days, it just doesn't happen.

Personally I have nothing wrong with the extra features; my phone has a camera, bluetooth, internet, mp3 player, etc. {Tongue Out}

I just don't see what all the hype is about; it's just another phone...

Re: iPhone 3G - Posted By Sven (sven) on 21st Jul 08 at 1:55am
My phone has all of that too... But isn't that what a real camera is for? Don't you pay for an internet connection for your PC as well? Yet you're paying again more for your mobile phone to have it and for what purpose?

Like, the extra features cost money which you don't need to have. That's my argument. Plus I do agree, it's just another phone...

My phone has a 5mp camera, which is as good as many digital cameras, I don't pay for the internet connection at my house; my parents do, and I pay extra for the internet on my phone as well because I quite often have to access the internet when I don't have access to a computer. {Wink}

I have the iPod Touch, from last October. It's really nice to have. I purchased the v2 update, and it's even more useful now. Totally worth it, in my opinion. It plays my music, and it keeps me entertained. Also, when my computer is off, I don't have to wait for it to boot all the way up just to check my email, PMs, etc.

Very handy.

I got my iPhone 3G today, and honestly, it's worth it. It's not that it's because Apple made it, I don't care who made it. It's just the phone is quite amazing for what it gives out on a mobile phone.
