Including weekends, I have 20 days until summer holidays [13 days not including weekends.]
This summer I am hoping to get a full-time job that I enjoy, so that I can raise money for my England trip coming up next march.
Apart from work, I am planning to go to Canada's Wonderland at least once a week, get the band I'm in professionally recorded [and hopefully play some shows], get the band room in my friend's basement finished [soundproofed, etc.], possibly visit the states, get my OHIP [Ontario Health Insurance Plan] card renewed, get my license, spend as much time as possible with friends, move, and then prepare for a new school.
[The above list gave me ideas for about 5 other threads which I will post later. ]
What are your plans for this summer? Anything fun, or just take it as it goes and do whatever comes along?
I start summer on the 18th June! ^_^
So not long for me!
I start summer on June 16th.
Well, this next week of school is my last one. I have Monday and Tuesday, both of those days are exams, and then Wednesday which is a half day.
This summer I'll be doing a lot of things. One thing that I'm looking forward to that was introduced to me yesterday as a possibility of something my family could do this summer is going to Washington D.C. I've had to learn about the making of the U.S. all year so I think it would be pretty cool to go and see some of the real documents. Also this last school year we learned a lot about the Holocaust. When I say a lot just imagine having 15+ papers full of information, talking about it pretty much daily, quizzes weekly, and a 150 question exam in the end. Anyways, in D.C. their is a pretty well known museum and I'd love to see it after learning all about it.
I'd also like to prepare myself for high school. I've never tried in school, but always gotten good grades. I want to end up getting this thing in Florida that's called "Bright Futures" it's a scholarship and they will pay for your college. If I get certain hours in for NHS, get a good GPA, and get amazing scores on the ACT/SAT then I can get it.
Then this summer there are some of the minor things I'll be doing. I'll be working with my dad because I owe my parents... $1,600 Also I'll be trying to start a freelance career. Then there is just wasting time with friends or on the computer/Xbox.
I'd be surprised if someone read all that
I get out of school in 1 week, June 6th YAY!!! My Boss gave me more hours at work, so I will be making allot of Money ^_^, so im happy, and i get to be lazy most days. like today I did not wake up til 1:30 PM CST.
My summer is going to rock
It starts next saturday, when i'm at Wembley stadium to see the Foo Fighters live. I've got gigs lined up a lot, including Death Cab For Cutie, which rocks. My birthday falls in July so much merriment will be had.
On the activity front, i'll be playing cricket a lot, and football once or twice a week. My friends and i will be boating down the local river a lot in dinghy's - it's the second strongest current in the country, apparently
Also, my girlfriend will eventually be back from uni so i'll be spending a bit of time with her
Now football for England is soccer in US?

It's always been like that.
im asking a question, not an opinion

I read it! D.C. is an awesome city if you like history and things like that. My German class went on a field trip to the Holocaust museum (we're only about 5 hours from D.C., so we were able to do it one day), and it was very impressive. They did a very good job and didn't cut any corners.
As for me, I'm going to Germany from June 10 - 21, going to a computer camp as a counselor the first two weeks of July (teaching Java, C++, web design, and RobotBASIC), which should be loads of fun *rolleyes*, and I have band camp the first two weeks of August. In between that I'm working four days a week at a robotics company to develop an autonomous GPS navigation system for the LAGR, which should also be loads of fun *rolleyes*. So my summer, except for the first two weeks, is going to be mostly work.
