Do you hide your email address? if so why?

I do, mainly because I don't crackers pple trying to get my password. It's also because I only want certain pple to know my email, but fortunetly, i'm one of the smarter pple because I have 2 sets of emails, the first group are the ones I use on forums, the others are my personal accounts.

Then why would you show your contact information?

I don't hide mine, and I don't see why people do. It's a good way to contact someone, especially if it's something more important than something that is sent over a PM. Most people these days surf many forums so the chances of getting them to see that one private message on that one forum is smaller than getting them to see an email in their inbox.

the DLG emails are just for forums.

Why do you ask? This is a good question. depending on wat the answers are, they could be interesting.

Mine is hidden for the main purpose that as a staff member, i don't want too many people adding me on an IM program just to ask for support, or anything similar. If people want my IM then they're willing to ask for it Apart from that, my PM inbox is always open

I have mine available, but only because it can be found pretty much anywhere already; you can get all my personal information in a few mouse clicks.

However, with MSN I do not accept anyone that I do not add myself, or without them first contacting me for a specific reason to need my MSN.

I hide my email because I only use that email for newsletters, and forum registrations. I have a couple other emails for contact.
