My thoughts exactly. It wasn't his fault, he just wanted to surprise her, by litterly poping the question.

That would really, really, really suck.

I thought I'd read on to hear that she didn't care he lost the ring. Quite funny, and who puts a $12,000 ring in a helium balloon for any reason. One slip of the hand and it could be gone for ever.

That's my thought too - by all means use a balloon as it's a novel idea but for the love of Jebus, don't use helium

The amusing part of this whole debacle is that he's actually bewildered about it. Just goes to show that common sense isn't too common nowadays..
