Doesn't sound like you read the article, as it just said they shoot a beam of light at an infrared beam and the light is overcome by the infrared beam. {Unsure}

I remember when this was in TIME a long time back probably like eight years ago? My first reaction, as I just learned about them in school was, "God, how stupid is our government?" I know they're starting at infrared light beams but how far will they go? They're attempting the unknown. When is our curiousity put to rest?

Our curiosity will/might destroy us, like an experiment of a Nuke, and it explodes the whole planet, or it could be like the Hit Disney movie Minute Men. lol.
