Global Forum Rules & Info - Posted By Ross (admin) on 5th Mar 08 at 11:11pm
Section 1. Forum Rules
- Any form of spam, abuse, flaming, or belittling of others members will not be tolerated, and will be dealt with accordingly. This applies to PMs as well as posts.
- Obvious spam threads will be dealt with by vForums staff. There is no need to reply to spam - if needed, PM a member of staff who will lock the thread.
- Please refrain from posts that do nothing to help the topic being discussed; for example, "I don't know" is not really a necessary post.
- Advertising is permitted only in your signature, or in the Directory. Any threads made promoting your forum or website will be locked. This includes referral links.
- Do not PM staff for support unless they ask you to do so. There are specific boards for support issues.
- Please make the effort to see if the thread you are creating is already being discussed or the answer you're looking for already posted - if this is the case, a new thread is not necessary.
- Do not ask to become a staff member. Staff will be appointed when we feel they are needed and not before.
- Do not argue with staff. If you disagree with what a staff member has said, send a PM to Ross.
- Please do not post entire posts in a hard to read format, eg. small font, bright color, "1337 speak", aligned etc.
- Please refrain from swearing. This includes abbreviated forms of swear words.
- Do not bump your threads before 24 hours have passed. This includes double-posting, as well as invisible bumping. Please also be aware that there's no need to bump topics in the bugs or suggestions boards unless you have additional information to add.
- Try not to bump threads that are over a week old, unless if you have something useful to contribute to the topic being discussed.
- Sadly, we ask members not to post "word games" which result in quick replies or 1-2 word replies.
- Please make sure that you abide by the vForums Terms Of Service
Section 2. Signatures
- Your signature space may not exceed 300px in height.
- The height limit is for images and text included.
- Your signature may not stretch the board.
Section 3. Custom Titles
- Must have at least 1000 posts.
- Must not have a warning level.
- PM Ross with the title you would like.
- Titles should not be changed more often than once per month.
- Basic UBBC is allowed
- Custom titles may be refused or altered at staff discretion
