Heroes - Posted By tricky.cb (crazyblue) on 4th Mar 08 at 2:16am
No not the television show. Who are your heroes? And if you don't mind sharing why?

I have 2 heroes.

My grandfather on my father's side. He is one of my heroes because this man was probably the nicest man I'll ever have known. Unless the person was extremely rude he would be nice to them. In the 8-9 years of life I knew him I don't think I once heard him yell angrily. He never did anything too wrong with his life except for smoked but he lived in the time period when people didn't know it was bad for you. The only thing I regret about him is that when I look back on how I treated him at times I feel like I could of been better towards him or had a better attitude and also that I lost him at an early age. I wish I could sit with him and talk to him about things that he lived through like the great depression and all that to understand what it was like.

My other hero is Johnny Cash. I'm not going to into detail on why he's my hero because I don't want to take up too much room and too much time.

So lets hear yours {Cheesy}

May I ask the general area where you live?

The people he listed are from all over the world, and [except Tupac] are widely considered as great heroes.

That is depressing you don't know about the first 3 people on his list. They aren't small people who changed minor things, they're major people who did major things in this world. I really don't know what to say to that {Unsure}

It's your life I guess and if you want to live it like that then go ahead, but it may be something you end up regretting in the future. Knowledge is power, and without power your nothing.

I do know Johnny Cash, he was a country singing legend.

You may know Johnny Cash for being a country artist, but he was so much more.

Drug-addicted, alcoholic, irresponsible, obsessive, cheated on his wife; missing something? {Tongue Out}

Yes, actually a lot. That was Johnny Cash when he was on tour with the people like Elvis who really got him into that stuff. Also, if your getting all that from the movie Walk the Line then you really need to just stop {Unsure}

Go buy the book "Cash: the Autobiography" and you will understand why he is my hero.

He had the times when he was addicted to pills, but being a musician that was on tour frequently it was one of those things that just came into play no matter who you were back then.

But he also had the times when he was very inspirational. His closest brother, Jack, died when he was still a child too. He was his best friend and they did everything together. He lived on and had life come at him pretty rough at times.

He struggled to get recorded for a bit of time and even once he had worked out a deal his first single wasn't recorded until after many attempts.

I'd write more but I really don't feel like I should. You can't try and sum up someones life when really your talking about a small part of his life.

I thought the " {Tongue Out} " in my previous post indicated the sarcasm I was meaning to put on it; I know all that you posted about him, I was just kidding around. {Wink} {Tongue Out}

I just don't find it too funny when it's about a person who is my hero {Unsure}

I think the reason greivous doesn't know those people is cause it's there full names.

Is Mahatma Gandhi the same or related to Mohandas Ghandi ?
