Thread/Message Template - Posted By Michael (wrighty) on 18th Jan 10 at 1:28pm
The first tag in the box is <td....>, the closing tag is its parentNode of </tr>. Why not let us control the WHOLE row, including the mini-profile placement etc. For my template, the Mini-Profile needs to be merged with the message area.

Also, why not give us control over the top/bottom bars. Would be good to move the rating bit. You could have another box on the page but the filler is {Posts} to show where all the posts in the thread go.

Cheers.

Access to more areas, including the title/footer bars in topics and boards is planned but has had to be delayed.

I'll have a look at your other suggestion there to see what would be possible {Smile}

That's cool. I'd rather have the mini-profile bit sooner as would make this template soooooooo much quicker to code! haha.

OK, it looks quite easy to give you control over the mini-profile position but the problem I'm having is with maintaining several copies of the source code - I don't really want to code this feature twice {Tongue Out} . The latest release on live forums is v2.2, already a fair bit of work has been done on v2.3. So what I'll be doing is just putting this into v2.3. But as your forum isn't live/open yet I could move that to v2.3 as soon as it is fairly stable giving you a chance to code the template how you want it (v2.3 will be released to forums later this month, I expect a stable version to be finished within the next few days provided nothing major goes wrong)

Sure thing, just throw it on my forum. I'm not planning a release for a week at the least. Got some new templates to get coded up etc. {Smile}
