Manage Forum Permissions - Posted By Ross (admin) on 15th Feb 08 at 10:51am
A new section has been added to your admin panel; "Forum Maintenance". This section will include a number of main admin only tasks to manage the forum.

The first of these new options is "Manage Forum Permissions". This new feature will allow the main admin to mass manage which boards/categories users can view and post in. Each of the 4 sections contained within this feature gives a color coded view of which groups and rank can access what and will enable you to update these permissions without having to go to each board/category.

I find this new feature is especially helpful if you've added extra ranks and need to assign which boards they can access or if you decide to limit the posting of polls to certain ranks.

Very good, however one question.

Should there be an option for guests to start polls as when we create boards, I am sure this isn't an option.

{Unsure}

Good point. Although even if you gave them access they wouldn't be able to post a poll.
