It has been a while since we've announced anything new - and unfortunately it will have to be a while longer as these are things we've been able to do for a while but have never told you about! We are capable of offering our members a number of features which other providers either cannot, will not or will but for a fee So to clarify things, here are just some of the special tricks we have up our sleeves:

- Change Forum URL
This is not just limited to the username portion (username.vforums.co.uk), we can change the domain extension to any of the 3 we have on offer (vforums.co.uk, vforums.us or free-forums.eu)
When we do this we put a 301 redirect (one which will be read and followed by search engines) onto your old forum URLs so that they will still send your users to your new address. This redirect can be left in place indefinitely, or at least long enough so that all traces of the old URL are gone.

- Restore deleted boards, categories & users
For at least 14 days after clicking the delete button any records are kept in a pending delete state - which makes them possible to restore. Great for when you hit the wrong button or a malicious staff member goes on a rampage.
For any posts or topics you can do this yourself through the "Recycle Bin" of your admin panel. However, categories, boards and even users can be restored by a support admin (users will only be restored if they were deleted by a staff member or if they explicitly ask to be restored themselves)

- Change a Users Username
We have the ability to change the username of a single member. This will reassign their posts and PMs to their new username.
This can be especially handy if you are changing who holds the forums admin account. The old admin can have everything transferred to a new account and the new admin can start using the "admin" username (along with the extra power that username holds).

- Restore Forum
This one is a bit of a standard one nowadays but just to clarify, we can restore any entire forum which was deleted by its owner.

As I say, these are nothing new but just things we've never really advertised. We've also got a few other tricks like these in the pipeline - but more details to come when they're actually ready (my to-do list seems to get longer rather than shorter)
And of course these are not the only things we can do. If in doubt, please ask. If it is something we can see others asking for in the future and is possible to do then we will add it to our list of special abilities.

Wow, only if the other service would have thought about restoring categories and what not. xD Then people would most likely be happy with said service.
