The following is the planned release schedule for our latest version which will be taking place of Friday 3rd July. We hope to have minimum downtime and distruption.
Between 20:30 and 21:00 GMT we will be making some changes to the server structure which will help minimize downtime for this upgrade. Forums should remain online while this is done but some features may be temporarily unavaliable.
At 21:00 signups for new forums will be disabled.
From 21:30 GMT onwards, forums will begin the upgrade process. Forums will be upgraded one at a time. They should not experience any downtime during this process. However they will be monitored to ensure that no errors occur. We do not have a time frame of how long before all forums will have upgraded. We hope that all forums will be complete within a few hours, with signups being enabled again once all forums have upgraded.
** Update: To ensure that no errors occur we are manually monitoring the upgrade processes. This is taking a lot longer than originally estimated. We now hope all forums will be converted in the early hours of Sunday the 5th July.
If you have any concerns or questions, then please post them below or send me a pm.

Will the new skin for vf support be release as well ?
I don't think so.
I'm going to go into talks with Ross about releasing a skin that I was going to make for a competing service into a skin for all forums!

Fraid not, no
There's been a slight delay but it's one of our top priorities and hopefully shouldn't be too long

Ah ok thanks Graham .
Unfortunately some delays in stage one, added to a few issues I had to sort out offline, have put me a little behind schedule. So far, the new structure has been setup which will minimize downtime - I believe so far it has been just a couple of minutes (if that) while the 2 core files were uploaded. And forums which were in "beta" testing have now been transferred to the full new system. I'll keep you all updated
OK, just an update. The forum conversion process seems to be taking a little longer than first thought. So far, a little under a 10th of all forums have been fully converted. Because the converter has got "stuck" a couple of times I've had to lower its speed and implement some manual checking to ensure things are properly converted. I will turning in for the night shortly and when I do the converting will stop. I appologise for this but I'm sure everyone would rather their forum didn't get upgraded until tomorrow instead of having it converted with an error tonight.
However, on a more positive note, all forums on databases 1, 11 & 12 are converted as well as those who signed up for beta testing. Also, signups are now enabled to create a brand new v2 forum
i figured i'd ask, but was there any small tweaks added in from the beta version to the full version that might effect how somethings would work. You know so people would have a heads up on a possibly problem.
There were a number of bug fixes made and the quote / code displays have been redone a little. But other than that, I can't think of anything
ok thank, just thought i'd ask
This is going to be an interesting ride. ^_^
We're now quite a way past the half way point. It's promising to see that (so far) things are working smoothly
That's great! I notticed a few of my forums have been converted, and checked to see if there were any errors, and I don't see any. Great Job Ross!
Just to note that earlier on this morning the last of the forums completed their conversion process
Awesome!
