This is just a quick heads up that I intend to take the support forum off-line for an hour or so on Wednesday 15th April. This is for a change of servers. It makes sense for the support forum to be on a machine completely separate to that of standard user forums. In the 24 hours leading up to this downtime, you may experience a slightly slower connection to the support forum.
The approximate time for this downtime will be:
15th Apr 09 at 9:00am (This time is based on the Time zone set in your profile)
No other forums will be affected.
Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

About time Ross... The amount of discussions that we had about it! Glad it's finally being done!
I kept putting it off but thought it was about time I actually did it
This is just to confirm that stage one of this change has been completed. We are still on schedule to take the forum offline tomorrow morning while the database is transferred (at the moment the database is acting as a remote database).
i'm assuming your doing this so taht changes can be done to the support forum without risking leaks of updated to other forums, or is it so if the forums server goes down at least the support forum will still be up?

It's actually for both of those reasons. As you know, the support forum is often used to try out new features and by it being on an isolated maching there are no fears about any of these new features messing up another forum.
The forum is now back online. If anything does not appear to be working correctly or you find any broken links/images then please let me know
